11:45 am: Kirtan
12:45 pm: Ardaas
1:00 pm: Langar
Recommended amount
to sponsor langar will be $ 201.
The approximate
cost to do a langar for an average of 25 to 30 people is $101. The
surplus money will be used for Gurdwara fund.
The Gurdwara
will provide all materials/ingredients needed to do a Standard
Langar. Except: on the day of langar the family is asked to bring
4 gallons of milk & yogurt either made from 1 gallon of mik or
equivalent to make Raita
Standard langar
will include: Dal, Roti, one Sabzi, Kheer, Raita, Water, Plates,
Spoons, glasses & Karah Prashad . Tea can be served after langar
if needed.
Sangat may want to
include special items in langar in which they would like to serve
(pakoras or any special sweet they want to) but these will be
provided by the family who wants to do this.
Langar is a
community Kitchen and no family can have an exclusive right of
langar on any day. Multiple families can do the langar on the same
day. Similiarly, multiple families may participate in Path. All
families are encouraged to work with Harjeet Singh (838-0146) for
scheduling (see schedule posted).
Family that is
doing the langar is responsible for preparation of food, although
Gurdwara will provide ingredients for standard langar items.
Family that is
doing the langar is responsible for complete cleanup after the
langar.
Sangat is to
refrain from taking langar home until it has been served to
everybody.
