Guidelines for Langar
Sunday Religious Services Schedule
10:30 am: Sukhmani Sahib da Paath
11:45 am: Kirtan
12:45 pm: Ardaas
1:00 pm: Langar
  1. Recommended amount to sponsor langar will be $ 201.


  1. The approximate cost to do a langar for an average of 25 to 30 people is $101. The surplus money will be used for Gurdwara fund.

  1. The Gurdwara will provide all materials/ingredients needed to do a Standard Langar. Except: on the day of langar the family is asked to bring 4 gallons of milk & yogurt either made from 1 gallon of mik or equivalent to make Raita

  1. Standard langar will include: Dal, Roti, one Sabzi, Kheer, Raita, Water, Plates, Spoons, glasses & Karah Prashad . Tea can be served after langar if needed.

  1. Sangat may want to include special items in langar in which they would like to serve (pakoras or any special sweet they want to) but these will be provided by the family who wants to do this.

  1. Langar is a community Kitchen and no family can have an exclusive right of langar on any day. Multiple families can do the langar on the same day. Similiarly, multiple families may participate in Path. All families are encouraged to work with Harjeet Singh (838-0146) for scheduling (see schedule posted).

  1. Family that is doing the langar is responsible for preparation of food, although Gurdwara will provide ingredients for standard langar items.

  1. Family that is doing the langar is responsible for complete cleanup after the langar.

  1. Sangat is to refrain from taking langar home until it has been served to everybody.
